The Peak Rebate Program rewards commercial and industrial businesses for making short term changes to electricity consumption during peak events.

✓ The site is willing to have an interval meter installed at no cost if required

✓ A reduction of at least 100 kW can be made during peak events

Benefits & Savings

When New Brunswickers all turn up the heat on cold winter mornings, it creates a peak in electricity demand. That’s where your business can make a difference and get money back for the changes you make.

Add another revenue stream to your business this winter by reducing electricity consumption during peaks and improve your organization’s bottom line. Plus, participation helps to reduce emissions and support a more sustainable grid.

By participating in this program your business can:

✓ Earn $60/kW for average demand reduction

✓ Choose how much energy to reduce (minimum 100 kW)

✓ Care for the environment by reducing emissions during peak periods
