What types of incentives are available?
The Industrial Energy Efficiency Program has funding available for both electric and non-electric saving opportunities. Incentives for non-electric projects are available until December 2023 (or until all funds have been awarded; whichever comes first).
|Projects reducing electricity|
|Type||Energy Audit, Feasibility Study, or Service Study||Project Incentives|
|Small Industries||Up to 100 % of eligible costs (Max $20K)*||Lesser of: $0.108/kWh or 50% of eligible costs (Max $250K)|
|Large Industries||Up to 100 % of eligible costs (Max $40K)*||Lesser of: $0.108/kWh or 50% of eligible costs (Max $500K)|
* 50% of the cost of the study will be paid upon completion of the study and the remaining 50% will be paid on proof of at least one recommended project implementation.
|NON-ELECTRIC PROJECTS REDUCING GREENHOUSE GASES|
|Small and Large Industries||Incentives are 25% of capital costs. Please contact program staff to determine project eligibility.|
The project stream provides incentives on energy saving projects. Project types include, but not limited to
- Process Improvements
- HVAC Systems
- Building Envelope
- Compressed Air
- Energy Intensity Reduction
- Fuel Switching
If you don’t know where to start, an energy audit will help identify areas for improvement and key opportunities in your operations.
If you have a project already in mind, start with a feasibility study to help ensure the retrofit is cost effective.
|Energy Management Information Systems (EMIS) - Electric Only|
|Small and Large Industries||EMIS Audit: 50% of eligible study costs (Max $10K)|
|Small and Large Industries||EMIS Design: 50% of eligible study costs (Max $35K)|
|Small and Large Industries||EMIS Implementation: 50% of eligible project costs (Max $80K)|
|Small and Large Industries||EMIS Optimization:50% of eligible project costs (Max $30K)|
Energy management information systems provide you with the right information to help you optimize your energy use.
