Industrial Program

What types of incentives are available?

The Industrial Energy Efficiency Program has funding available for both electric and non-electric saving opportunities. Incentives for non-electric projects are available until December 2023 (or until all funds have been awarded; whichever comes first).

Projects reducing electricity
Type Energy Audit, Feasibility Study, or Service Study Project Incentives
Small Industries Up to 100 % of eligible costs (Max $20K)* Lesser of: $0.108/kWh or 50% of eligible costs (Max $250K)
Large Industries Up to 100 % of eligible costs (Max $40K)* Lesser of: $0.108/kWh or 50% of eligible costs (Max $500K)

* 50% of the cost of the study will be paid upon completion of the study and the remaining 50% will be paid on proof of at least one recommended project implementation.

NON-ELECTRIC PROJECTS REDUCING GREENHOUSE GASES
Type Project Incentives
Small and Large Industries Incentives are 25% of capital costs. Please contact program staff to determine project eligibility.

Project Incentives

The project stream provides incentives on energy saving projects. Project types include, but not limited to

  • Process Improvements
  • HVAC Systems
  • Refrigeration
  • Building Envelope
  • Compressed Air
  • Energy Intensity Reduction
  • Fuel Switching

If you don’t know where to start, an energy audit will help identify areas for improvement and key opportunities in your operations.

If you have a project already in mind, start with a feasibility study to help ensure the retrofit is cost effective.

Energy Management Information Systems (EMIS) - Electric Only
Type Project Incentives
Small and Large Industries EMIS Audit: 50% of eligible study costs (Max $10K)
Small and Large Industries EMIS Design: 50% of eligible study costs (Max $35K)
Small and Large Industries EMIS Implementation: 50% of eligible project costs (Max $80K)
Small and Large Industries EMIS Optimization:50% of eligible project costs (Max $30K)

Energy management information systems provide you with the right information to help you optimize your energy use.
