The participant must meet all eligibility requirements presented in this section.
Eligible Customers
Eligible customer must:
- Have authorization to approve installation of equipment at the Eligible Project Site.
- Be located in New Brunswick.
- Indirect NB Power customers are eligible to apply but must be in a similar rate schedule or customer class as listed below. Indirect customers include those located in New Brunswick and served by Saint John Energy, Edmundston Energy, or Perth-Andover Light Commission.
- Be classified under the Small Industrial,or General Service I Rate Schedule per NB Power’s Rate Schedules and Policies. Eligible building types include, but not limited to:
- Non-profit and for-profit organizations;
- Government-owned buildings (municipal, provincial, and federal);
- Institutional buildings; o Mixed-use buildings;
- Buildings leased or owned by the Participant;
- Buildings located in a First Nations community.
- Buildings classified under the Residential Rate Schedule per NB Power’s Rate Schedules and Policies are eligible, should they fall within one of the following categories:
- Agricultural buildings (including farms);
- Places of worship; and
- Multi-unit residential buildings of 3 or more units.
Ineligible Customers
- Customers classified under the Large Industrial Rate Schedule.
Eligible Projects
An eligible project must:
- Replace existing equipment;
- Decrease energy use; and
- Result in a reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.
