The navigator service is a free service available to applicants with a gross annual household income under $125,000. If you fit this criteria and are applying to the Total Home Energy Savings Program, consider financing your project with the Canada Greener Homes Interest Free Loan.
Our navigator service is free-to-you and we’re here to assist you every step of the way. We help you navigate the programs and guide you through the application process for securing up to $40,000 in interest-free financing to support your home’s efficiency enhancements.
We understand that navigating multiple programs simultaneously can be challenging. Our navigator service is designed to simplify the application and loan processes, ensuring your path to a more energy-efficient home is seamless.
We’ll maintain regular contact with you throughout your journey, checking in on your progress and addressing any questions. You can expect to hear from us at the 1-month, 3-month, and 6 month milestones.
We’re here to help you along the way. A dedicated member of our navigator team will maintain regular communication with you to ensure that you are progressing smoothly through the efficiency programs. Though we cannot complete the applications for you, we’re here to answer any questions you might have. You can expect to hear from us at 1 month, at 3 months, and at 6 months.

Complete our online registration form or call us at 1-800-663-6272. Make sure you check the box indicating you are interested in applying for the Canada Greener Homes Loan to access our navigator service.

Your chosen Service Organization will contact you to schedule an initial Home Energy Evaluation. This is the key to accessing incentives. It’s your starting gate for a more efficient and comfortable home.

After your Home Energy Evaluation your service organization will provide recommendations for projects that will help you save energy. At this point a member of our navigator team will reach out to you to discuss the upgrades and incentives you may qualify for and next steps.

Obtain at least 1-3 quotes for each of the upgrades in your evaluation report you wish to complete then apply for the Canada Greener Homes Loan. You will need these quotes to apply. We're here to help if you have any questions.

Complete the online application form. We're available along the way to guide you through the application.
The loan can help you finance eligible retrofits that are recommended by your energy advisor. You must wait until your loan is approved before starting work. You can even request a 15% advance.

Once your loan has been approved, you’re now ready to schedule your upgrades based on your approved quotes. You have 9 months to complete your upgrades. If work is taking longer than planned , please let us know when we check in with you on month 3 or 6.

When you're ready, call your Service Organization to schedule your final energy evaluation. Your Certified Energy Advisor will verify your upgrades and provide you with a new EnerGuide rating for your home.

Save all your receipts relating to upgrades you completed, to ensure you receive your incentives. We're here to help you get the rebates you qualify for.

Shortly after your loan is funded, you will receive detailed information on the repayment of your loan over the 10-year period. The navigator service is here to answer any questions you may have about repayment.
